Portuguese-style marinated pork loin cutlets. They are traditionally served in a roll as a sandwich, but they may also be served as-is with any side dish. Two typical ingredients in bifanas are garlic and wine, however in ours we substitute wine for lemon juice, giving them a slight zip. Since pork loin is used, bifanas are very lean contributing to a healthy lifestyle. They come pre-marinated in raw form and vacuum sealed in bags. Pan frying or barbecuing are the recommended methods of preparation. Instructions can be found on the label. Here in the U.S., there are very few manufacturers, if any, producing bifanas. It is a very unique product, simple to prepare, and most of all, DELICIOUS!
A smoked Portuguese sausage, very similar to linguiça and slightly similar to Spanish chorizo. The flavors are very rich, bold, and pronounced. Once you take the first bite, the garlic, wine and spices will definitely make their presence known. A popular way to prepare chouriço is partially sliced and flame cooked over alcohol at the table. Special glazed earthenware dishes are used for this purpose, and our short links fit perfectly on these. Chouriço can be found at almost every restaurant and supermarket in Portugal. Here in the U.S., Mexican and Spanish chorizo dominate, but Portuguese Chouriço is definitely gaining popularity.
Chicken Tuscan is the very first chicken sausage we created that will tantalize your pallet and transport your mind to only one place we can think of, Tuscany. We combine Basil, Parmesan Cheese, Sundried Tomatoes, lemon juice, and other spices then fully cook the links until perfection. As always, NO fillers or artificial ingredients are used. Our Chicken Tuscan is high in vitamin C and low in both fat and sodium making these sausages popular for the health conscious consumer. They are also a great alternative for those who wish to avoid eating pork. These links are great on the grill or boiled in water for a few minutes. Slice & dice them with pasta, use it as a pizza topping, or throw one on a bun for a sandwich.
One of the most common ways to eat any sausage is in a bun. We took that
concept and created what we think is an extremely convenient product for the
consumer. We encase our sausages in a traditional Portuguese-style dough,
then bake them until they take the shape and color seen here. When ready to
be served, just wrap them in aluminum foil and warm them up in a
conventional oven, or just pop them in the microwave. The cavity inside is
perfect for adding ketchup, mustard, or any other condiment. So Simple!

Barcelos Linguica INC ships its products via USPS Priority Mail. All packages are insulated and include ice packs to keep the product cool during delivery. All shipments within the United States arrive within 2-3 days. We do not ship on Thursdays or Fridays to avoid weekend delays. We are not responsible for delay in shipment due to weather, incorrect address, or unavailability of someone to accept the package.
If possible, try to arrange to have your package delivered to an air conditioned location, such as a business, where someone is able to receive your package. Often, USPS will leave packages on your porch if no one is home which is risky in high temperature areas.
